There is no better place to bring your four-legged family member than our Mendocino dog-friendly hotel’s property, the Inn at Schoolhouse Creek. Upon your arrival, the front desk provides dog bowls for food and water, a Frisbee for playing fetch and a treat. At check-in, be sure to ask for more information on the limitless possibilities and best places to go exploring with your dog around Mendocino!
A couple of our favorite spots for pets to explore are our very own meadow and forest creek trails, as well as the Buckhorn Cove private beach just steps away from our property where dogs are allowed to roam off-leash.
Mendocino’s scenic coast and nearby beautiful state parks and beaches are all great places to explore with your pet. Check out Mendocino Headlands State Park, Friendship Park or Navarro State Park with your furry friend—but please keep in mind they must remain on a leash.
Upon return from a day of activities and exploration, guests may use the pet bath at the Inn to get Fido clean and ready to relax in their room.
Due to health code regulations, pets are not allowed in the farmhouse during breakfast; guests are welcome to bring a tray back to their room or cottage to dine with their pets. Additionally, there are several restaurants in Mendocino with outdoor seating that welcome your pets:
